Big Desk V1.00 ============== Big desk is a utility that allows you to vastly increase your desktop working area without investing in expensive monitors and graphics hardware. The program gives you a 2048x2048 desktop any part of which you can view on your monitor. (The amount you can view is dependant upon the resolution of your graphics card). Using Big Desk ============== Simply running Big Desk will install the virtual desktop. You may move the active area by one of two ways. Firstly by selecting 'Move Desktop...' from the system menu. Secondly by right-clicking on the icon (a short-cut). Performing either of these options will bring up a dialog box containing a reduced image of the whole desktop with a rectangle denoting the current viewing area. By draging this rectangle (place the mouse cursor inside the rectangle, press and hold the left mouse button move the mouse (and rectangle) to the area you wish to see and release the left mouse button) you can scroll around the virtual desktop. If you close Big Desk, the display will home to the top left-hand corner of the virtual desktop. This may mean you have applications that cannot be accessed any longer because they are completely off the screen. To get back to these applications either run Big Desk again, or use Cascade or Tile from the task manager. BUGS/FEATURES ============= V1.00 The initial release.
